I would suggest looking into the topic of quering with WMI.

Hi,

I have a need to be able to extract only part of an attribute field
using a single ldap query.

For example, I need to return just the OPMAIL01 part from this string:
/o=Options/ou=First Administrative
Group/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=OPMAIL01

Is is even possible to do this with an ldap query?

Thanks.
