I was able to connect to my pix firewall and enable logging- when i tried
to connect from outside , the logs told me that the sbs 2003 server was
rejecting the http request to my internal host (exchange server) and looking
for https (ssl)

don't know why sbs 2003 was setup this way bec. i certainly did not tell it
to use ssl but in any event, i changed my cisco pix to utilize 443 instead
of 80, and its working fine now-

FYI: 'Page not being displayed" in IE Error tells me that you are not even
getting to the IIS server. Taking into consideration OWA works fine
internally I would have to say its something outside of the SBS. I assume
you only have 1 NIC in your SBS Server? Have you tried bypassing the pix
temporarily to see if it works? Pix's can be a little tricky to configure
but I would bypass it just to insure its not the issue.

Do not change current Web server certificate
Email: Enable Exchange for Internet e-mail with the following settings:
E-mail delivery:
Route e-mail to the Internet by using DNS.
E-mail retrieval:
Use Exchange to retrieve SMTP e-mail.
Email retrieval method:
Route e-mail from the Internet directly to Exchange.
Registered Internet e-mail domain name: abc.com.
E-mail attachments: Remove e-mail attachments from Internet e-mail as
specified in the wizard.

Like i said earlier- email is working fine just can't seem to get OWA to
open from the outside.

Pretty sure I did but can't swear on it. Email is working fine,
clients
are
using outlook 2003 . Just OWA does not work when trying to connect
from
off-site.

Can i run the sbs mail / internet wizard again, will this mess-up
anything

Like i said earlier, i can bring-up their default web site by
typing :
http://IP
so i know my Pix is allowing HTTP traffic through. I even had cisco
connect
remotely to ensure the config i applied is correct ., e.g,
forwarding
the
http traffic internally to my servers' IP . - 192.168.x.x.

I've done this a hundred times using windows 2003 server / exchange
server
and had no problems with OWA - I just started working with small
bus.
2003
and frankly- don't care for it too much right now.

i've setup my pix to forward the http request for OWA over to my

of the server but cannot get OWA to open from outside the

whey trying from the outside - i get the : page cannot be

however, i can type : Http://IP address
and get the : WELCOME TO SMALL BUSINESS SERVER 2003 PAGE
Which has the - My company's internal web site and
Network configuration wizard tasks.

I checked in IIS Manager/ Directory security Tab and made sure
that
SSL
is
not required - I've never had a problem before with OWA when
running
on
exchange 2003 Server using standard edition server but this is
the
first
time
in awhile i've setup small bus. 2003.

Wanted to see if Small bus. 2003 server has any special
permissions
that i
may have forgot to set to enable OWA
