thanks for all the replies.
I'm assuming that the IMF is the culprit since everything was fine until the
hour that I turned it on. We'll give blackberry a call too.
Message tracking is a good idea. I'll dig in to that. It doesn't make
sense to me either that the IMF should effect outgoing mail.
We have tried flagging the blackberry messages as "not junk" and that
doesn't seem to help.

I'd comment here that if your IMF is set to 4, that is a VERY low value.between
Most people I know who have configured IMF have set it to somewhere
6 and 8, depending on the amount of false-positives.mail.
I still don't understand how IMF is moving these messages to your junk
The BB Redirector on the client machine should be sending OUT themessages.
IMF does not scan outbound messages. Are you saying that the BBredirector
is sending a temporary message to the Outlook client? If it shows up inthe
junk mail, have you tried marking it as "not junk"?IMF
Have you done message tracking on these "temporary" messages to prove that
in fact they are being acted upon by IMF? Is it possible that it is not
that is acting on them, but Outlook's junk mail filter?message

The way it works is the BB redirector generates a small temporary
arethat is used to fwd the email to the handheld device. Those messages
itapparently getting routed directly to the Junk Mail box. and then not
forwarded by the blackberry redirector.
After further research it looks like I can "globally accept" the IP
address
for the outside blackberry server but I haven't pinned down the IP range
for
that yet. Or, the other way would be to adjust the SCL parameters but
hatelooks like the blackberry messages are getting flagged as 4. Kind of
Ito set the SCL lower than that.

I updated Exchange 2k3 with service patch 2 a few weeks ago. Yesterday
activated the IMF.
Two users on the network are redirecting from outlook on their desktops
to
blackberries. The IMF appears to be blocking the blackberry redirect
process.
Has anyone seen this or know how to correct?
Thanks
Stan
