Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

People try to help you out and you get defensive and abusive. So what goes
around comes around so you may want reconsider your qoute about not being a
moron because if you did go there and couldn't figure it out then your not
all that bright. And if your doing Exchange administration and need to aks
such a simple question then you are more of a moron than you think

ok allen,
no reason to get snippy, i am not a moron and yes i did know where to go,
i have nothing set there, and seeings how her mailbox was over 3 gig to
begin with, i am sure it isn't 2048. now if you would let someone with
the answer to my actual question answer and not put in ignorant responses
that would be great. thanks

Yes there is. I am not quite sure what the default is but seeing how you
never knew where to go to change it chances are whatever you see there is
the default. I'm not 100% sure but I think the default is 2048MB.

You can set the mailbox size quota at ESM/Servers/Servername/First
Stroage Group/Mailbox Store/Mailbox. Right click for Properties and go
to the "Limits" tab.

i have a sbs with exchange 2003 sp2
a user said that she was not getting email and that she got a quota
message saying she was over her limit
i have not set the quota and know where it is at if at some point i
want to do that, but i don't.
her mailbox was over 3 gigs in size but the database was within the
limits, my question is this,
is there a built-in quota for individual mailboxes and where can i go
change it.
after archiving her sent items (over 2 gig) her mail came in fine.
thank you in advance, bill
