Personally, I don't like (and disallow) my email client going out to the internet to render content, especially a signature. Just ew. Most reasonable email clients prevent that by default anyway. (Think of the stats you could gather on the web server with the image - the IP addresses and times that people opened your email).
I would recommend rather a nice line "Check out our new promo for ___ coming to a ____ near you!" and URL for people to click and see the promotion of your studio's output.
If you must, there are some great third party applications that simplify stadardization of corporate email signatures here:

Hi,
We're a smaller movie studio and we'd like to help promote our next release
by enabling our users to use an HTML email signature if they choose to at the
footer of each email. The animated GIF in the HTML signature (51K)would be
too much to embed in all our emails (about 2-3GB of data/day). So we'd like
to just use HTML code to reference this animated GIF over the internet in the
emails so they stay small and don't impact our servers so heavily.
Looking at the Microsoft site, this takes about 7 steps to accomplish this
for the end user. Is there a script or some type of policy we can set to have
the HTML email signatures be an option to all users throughout the whole
company? We're currently running two exchange 2003 servers.
Thanks in advance,
.
