First of all, excuse me for my orrible english... :-)
I have a SBS 2003 Server running for one year without any problems.
What service pack on Exchange? What service pack on Windows/SBS?
In the last two days the "priv1.edb" file has grown from 600MB till
9GB !!!
What other software (particularly antivirus) are you running on this server?
I have tried to compact database with eseutil /d without any
results.
You'd only see results if you'd deleted a lot from the store(s) first (look
for 1221 events in your application log and they'll tell you how much free
space you'd recover during an offline defrag).
I have disconnected the server from the lan by isolating it and it
seems all it's ok.
There is just one thing that seem strange to me.... :
The whole dimension of the user mailboxes, seen by the Exchange Sistem
Manager (ESM), is about 600MB but the file dimension is more than 9
GB !!!
How is this possible ???
Deleted item retention can be part of that, but I doubt it in this case.
Is there any way to understand what's the origin of this difference ?
What do you see in your event logs?
Moreover, is there any tools for analyzing the edb files and to deal
with them.
Please help me !!
I need to solve this situation before sunday evening, otherwise my
life will be finished.
That sounds very serious. I don't think I want to work for your company!
I thanks all the people will help me in any way.
