Usually, if you can get to OMA, you can get to Activesync. SBS sets up
the Exchange vdirs special so that enabling forms-based authentication
isn't an issue. Anyways, you might also check the ActiveSync vdir and
make sure it is set up similar to the oma vdir.

Do you have a certificate set up on your server? If so, what type of cert
is it (public, or self-created)?

More details are needed regarding how you set up your device.

What type of device is it, what version of Windows Mobile OS.

mobil 5 on treo 700w

What version of Exchange, and SP level.

2003 sp2 on sbs 2003 sp1

Does this same error occur when you connect to your desktop and initiate
a sync?

yes.

but I have played around abit. rerun internet connection wizard. now
the error is 85010014

but sbs 2003 supports kerberos by default. I tried the suggestions for
this and found that it was already setup for all the suggestions in the
help about this error.

I check access to oma wia the web. and I discovered an error on server.
once I removed integrated authentication from oma, I had access to oma.
since I don't have the treo with me, I can't check the sync. but I will
have user check sync asap.

thanks

jon
