Really shouldn't be a big deal.

I personally would stay away from this because as you point out a rename
with ESM does not modify all the AD attributes. This requires additional
modifications be made.

I have been working for a company that had already implemented exchange
but had used only one admin group which was not suitable for the
administrative model that they wanted. I have restructured the servers
into separate admin groups and now have the Admin group structure as we
want it. There are still several servers that are left in the First
Administrative Group and I was wondering if it is possible to rename this
First Administrative Group to a more meaningful name called UK. I see
that ESM gives the option to do this but I am unsure of the consequences
of doing this as I know objects / directory attributes sometimes are
referred to using the full name (e.g sExchHomeServerName=/o=org1/ou=First
Administrative Group/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=EX01) Has anybody got
experience of making a rename and what issues did they have.
Thanks
Paul
