Re: 3-rd tools to Recovery edb files

Thanks all for your help.

This was an issue that I worked with Microsoft PSS. A HW issue caused the DB
to become corrupt. They direct me on how to recover the DB, which we did,
but up to a certain point. I have the old db and logs files available, I'm
just trying to to recover (export to PST) as much as I can of two days
worth of data, that resides on logs files, some of them which may be
corrupt. If you have any ideas would be appreciate it.

thanks again,

Let's be clear here. These 3rd party tools are NOT database/log file
maintenance tools. I.e., they don't *fix* things. What they do is allow
you to directly access databases (on disk, on tape, etc.) and export
information out of them into another location.

If you have corruption in your log files or databases, the native tools
are
still the best, and calling Microsoft PSS would be an even better option.
