The problem appears to be an AD replication issue. What happens when you
attempt to force replication? Are any errors generated in the event log?
Have you ran DCDiag against your domain controllers?

Hi,
We are running native Windows 2000 Environment with 17 Exchange servers
and 32 Global Catalog Servers
Setup: Domain AA parent domain, Domain BB and CC both as child
domains.
Some days back we found that GAL is not being updated and changes made in
universal group membership from domain BB (child domain) are not visible
in GAL and some removed users still persist in AD (while see in domain AA
and domain CC), it is quit Okay in Domain BB.
Till now we have not found any replication/RUS problem or clue to fix the
issue
After enabling AD diagnostic logging on Domain BB and an event warning
1216 is there
The LDAP server closed a socket to a client because of an error
condition, 1234. (Internal ID c01028c::4294967295).
The LDAP server closed a socket to a client because of an error
condition, 995. (Internal ID c06028b::25027)
