Re: Exmerge Issues

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Is the user that are using a domain or Enterprise admin? If so they
shouldn't be or you will need to apply full mailbox permissions explicitly
at the storage group or mailbox level.

Hi

I am running Exchange 2003 on a Windows 2003 Server. Each time I run the
Exmerge utilty I am receiving the following error

Error opening message store (MSEMS). Verify that the Microsoft Exchange
Information Store service is running and that you have the correct
permissions to log on. (0x8004011d)

I created a new Group called Exchange Exmerge. Add a user which I created
called exmerge to that group. Within ESM, I added that group to the
database
with full control permissions.

Why am I receiving this error and what can I do to resolve this problem.

Thanks

.
