We also patched the system prior to trying to setup the new user - at
the time there were 5 High Priority updates..
The system was scanned for spyware prior to the setup. All routine
maintenance was done also, deleting Temp files, defrag, virus
scanning, etc
The new user is not an administrator on the local system. The only
profiles are the local administrator and the old user. We kept the old
user account there so the new user could still use the system until
their account was setup. Glad we did.
Like I said, we tested the new user account on another system (Outlook
2002/XP) and it works fine--can resolve name to Exchange Server without
error.
