I don't think management will allow that.

Have you considered MS Support. It may be worth the money.

Two groups. One in XP and another is NT4. We do have the option to
update outlook 2k3 for them as the license come with Exch 2003. however
it doesn't support NT4. 10 Windows NT4 is screaming for help. Ha Ha
To provide more information, we have tested outlook 2k3 with NTLM only
but it doesn't work either. Thus strongly suspect it has something got
to do with NTLM Authentication with this domain. other Domain has no
problem with this. Any help to troubleshoot why the server suddenly stop
NTLM ? The Defalt DC security, the LAN MAN authentication set to "send
LM and NTLM\ user NTLM v2 if negociated". But also doesn't help... On
fire ... please help !!
Again have to thanks to Nuevo for prompt responds... I am not alone that
is what I can feel now

Upgrade the client to 2003 and you will three options as it relates to
auth. NTLM?Kerberos; Kerberos;NTLM.
There is probably a discrepancy between the NTLM levels on the server
and the client. What is the client OS?

Authentication method. Because no problem with outlook 2003. I been
wondering what is the different in term of authentication between
outlook 2k and 2k3...

Looking at the permissions of the mailboxes which accounts have
mailbox rights? Are you certain that nothing else happened at the
same that this GP change was made? It seems unlikely that never
expiring a password would cause logon failures.

Dear all,
Has anybody have this problem below
A site has been migrated to Windows 2003 AD, Exch 5.5 was killed
off. Users
of the domain has email enabled and mailbox store at EXCH 2k3 of
parent
domain with different name space (it is a tree domain of parent
domain).
Outlook client is 2000 version, client os is XP pro.
After AD migration and exchange mailbox created successully, it was
fine for
1 month. Subsequently one of the domain admin of the site changed
policy
that enable all users password never expired, all users are not
able to
login to mailbox with error message of " The logon credentials
supplied were
incorrect. Make sure username and domain are correct then type your
password" During the happening, users have no problem loginin to
domain
with their XP.
We had tried
1) Delete and recreate profile, check registry with microsoft
recommended
method, check AD, no problem with GC, no problem with AD sync.
Uninstall
Anti virus on all DC. However no help.
2) We have also check, other site have no problem, creating profile
of other
site\domain in the same problematic PCs is ok.
3) Users with Outlook 2k3 has no this issue at all.
At the moment, we have installed outlook 2k3 for users as many as
we can.
However their are NT4 workstation that can't install outlook 2k3.
Thus the
solution is not ultimate.
Wish to get some hints, experience and solution from you who has
come
accross this problem.
thanks for your help first
