Are you using an external filtering company such as Postini? I ask because
Exchange doesn't respond with psmtp :-)
If this is the case, check and make sure that Postini has this new user
listed for your domain.

Hello,
I tried to search for something like this, but didn't come up with
anything.
We are running Windows Small Business Server 2003 Standard, and I don't
think
any of the service packs are installed. That's a whole different issue,
but
my problem right now is that we have one user who is not receiving e-mail
that is from sources other than our Exchange server. When I tried to send
the
user an e-mail from both Gmail and my home ISP, I got the following error:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 9): 550 No such user - psmtp
This makes no sense because:
1) All of the other accounts are able to receive external e-mail.
2) The user definitely exists. This error is given even when replying to
an
e-mail received from that user.
If anyone has any ideas about where I could look to solve the problem, I
would appreciate it. As far as I can tell, the account is set up exactly
like
all of the other accounts we have.
