Yes, that's another way to do it.

But you should be careful when using the "Deny". If you later change
your mind and want *some* public foldrs to be available to them you'll
have to undo the permissions and start assigning them permissons on
the individual folders.

It might be a good idea to start by restricting the permission to the
folders rather than to the entire public folder hierarcy.
