I don't quite follow you when you say you are looking at a Front end server
and wanting to back it up. There should not be any mailboxes on a front end
server. But that is perhaps by the by.
You have to apply permissions explicity and these will override the implicit
permisssions that you see now. For example, giving the backup acccount (or
preferablly group) full mailbox rights (including Send As/Receive As) at the
Storage group level will override the existing permissions and fix your
problem.
