Re: Exchange SP2 and Firewall Timeout

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

I'm not sure I understand your acronymns :-)

We have the Sprint PPC 6700 which has windows mobile 5.0 on it. We are
currently using Sprint's internet connection to sync of the air with our
exchange servers. I was under the impression that once I upgraded to
Exchange SP2, directpush would work. what is MSFP? who are these OEM's?

As for the timeout issue, I know this isn't an exchange setting. It's a
firewall setting. Our firewall currently does not allow passive idle
connections beyond a very short time. Based on Microsoft's documentation, it
appears we have to increase this timeout setting on the firewall. But our
firewall admin is weary of making this change. '
