the first step in troubleshooting is identifying the problem
in this case the problem is why the service(s) failed to start
you indicated before the only entry in the log was that the sevices failed
to start.
the event log should indicate why
anyone else would ask the same thing..."what did the event log say?" or
"what is the event id?"
i am willing to guess that the issue is with the SA since the MTA and IS are
dependant on it
the event log would say something like "the microsoft exchange system
attendant service failed to start for the following reason:..."
the other entries for the MTA and IS failing probably would say something
like "the dependancy service failed to start" in this case, the SA
the knowledge base has numerous possibilities as to why the SA failed to
start. providing the event id for that error is a step in the right
direction in diagnosing this issue.
