roaming profile error message

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Our main office has windows 2003 server. For the branch office I set up a
member domain controller. I want to set up all employees at the branch
office with a roaming profile.
• Created a shared folder on the member dc.
• Gave everyone all users all rights to that folder
• Set up roaming profiles on the client machine
• Put the path in the user’s profile in AD users and computers

But when that user logs in this message pops up and there isn’t a roaming
profile there:

Windows cannot locate the server copy of your roaming profile and is
attempting to log you on with your local profile. Changes to the profile
will not be copied to the server when you logoff.

I looked up the error on technet.com and tried some of the suggestions. Non
worked.

I have SP2 set up on the client machine so I know that’s not the problem.

I tried all of these:

You receive a "Windows cannot locate the server copy of your roaming
profile" error message when you log on to a wireless network with Windows XP
Provides a resolution for an issue that occurs when you use a roaming
profile to log on to your wireless network from your Windows XP-based

Describes two ways to log on to a Windows XP client computer when your
account is configured to use a roaming profile.

"The roaming profile cannot be found" error message when you log on to your
network from a Windows XP-based computer
Fixes a problem that occurs when a user with a roaming profile logs on to
the network over a NetBIOS over TCP/IP connection and receives the error
message "The roaming profile cannot be found."
