Turning off 8bitmime
Hello,
We get a lot of bounces from a particular domain that we send to a lot: "554
5.6.1 Body type not supported by Remote Host". I understand it's because
the remote domain apparently doesn't support 8bitmime. If I stop our Ex2k3
server from advertising 8bitmime according to MS Q257569, does that mean
that it will generate the same errors when another email server or clients
try to send in that format? Under what conditions do clients send in
8bitmime? The latest incident was sent to a large list with a .doc
attached.
Thanks,
Matt
