Best way to purge them is to perform an online backup (even using Windows NT
Backup). In cases like yours, I have temporarily compressed a few of the
log files long enough to get enough space to get back up and running. Then
run the backup.
Long term, though, no Exchange files should be compressed. And you should
NEVER compress the databases! :-)
