Re: Deliver Messages to both Forwarding Address and Mailbox proble

We have observed this same issue. In our case, we have a FE/BE Exchange
configuration. We have determined that the contact receives two emails
because one is forwarded by the FE server and one is forwarded by the BE
server. The duplication only occurs when the original (incoming) email is
from outside our Exchange organization. As we understand the process, the
incoming email comes to the FE server (where the MX record points); the FE
server checks AD, forwards the email to the contact and also sends it to the
BE server to go into the mailbox. The BE server then repeats the process
forwarding the email the second time and placing it in the mailbox. How can
the duplication be prevented?
