did you create your own certificate and does the certificate have the corect
common name, menaing the certificate name must be the same name used wen
outlook tries to connect to your exchange server. If you created your own
cert then you msut install this cert on your laptop or ells your computer
wont trust it and you will get prompted for credntials over and over again

Regardless, you don't need to open port 80 for Outlook RPC, as you're configuring that to use https anyway, and once configured, the user doesn't have to worry about the connection settings. ...
