Re: Moderating incoming messages

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

I had a job where I had to filter through each and every spam message that
was archived and either delete it or forward it. This was back in 1999 and
2000 when Trend Micro ScanMail for Exchange was one of the premier AV and AS
applications.
With 300 users in one Site it was a bunch of work. We averaged 10 spam
messages per user per day, light days were 2000 and heavy days were near
4500 (usually 1-2 days preceeding and proceeding the first of the month or
the 15th of the month). From this we only had ~2-3 false positives per day.
In one case one of the false positives allowed our HR folks to catch someone
sending out information that they should not have.
