Re: Exchange 5.5 and 2003

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Hi Rich,
WIth the message that got through, it was not just plain text, the inline
images were converted to attachments with the mime-type of:
-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
Content-Type: image/gif;
name="image001.gif"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: base64
Content-Disposition: attachment;
filename="image001.gif"
*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*
These worked.

I looked in the E2K3 server, and saw no events related to exchange at all
when the message did not come through. It was as if it dropped into a black
hole after coming into the 5.5 box. Which logging should I turn on in the
2K3 box to see messages of interest?

Both servers are in the same admin group - in this case the ONLY 2 servers
are in the same group (UPMP if the group matters).

Thanks for the extra suggestions - I really need to understand what is going
on - since I am almost ready to drop the 5.5 box totally, I dont want to
have to diagnose this while "live" with no fallback!!
