Re: Exchange 2003, lost messages and tracking



I'd be checking for any Outlook filters that are applied (view filters).
Check the Dumpster as well. There is a registry key that allows you to view
the Dumpster (aka Deleted Items Retention) for all folders. Is it possible
that another mail client connected to this mailbox and download or deleted
the message?

The admin in question was using his spam interdiction software to BOTH quarantine potential spam but also had it set to send an archival copy to Exchange in a different mailbox (for what amounts to perfectly valid business purposes - they simply cannot "lose" anything sent to them. ...
