An Exchange Front End in a DMZ isn't best practice but if the security
droids won't see sense then it's supported.
What domains is it working for and which ones isn't it? If the server
is properly configured to resolve DNS names and is permitted outbound
then you should be ok, regardless of where the FE is residing.
I take it that your FE is configred as a bridgehead?
