We are running Exchange 2003 Enterprise edition.
It does have a smarthost which delivers normal outbound mail, but I
don't want it to send mail out through the smarthost which is only
going to come back to the Exchange server anyway.
this is why i get the 'maximum hop count was exceeded' message,
because I get stuck in a loop.
Mail that is destined for my mail server should never be pushed back
out to the internet? surely?
