Re: Assigning an email address to a Printer???

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

It is a multifunction printer/scanner/copier with the capability of Internet
Fax feature from PCs (computers), meaning no need to get up & fax a paprter,
just do it fron the device's software.

One of the requirements -besides IP address, DNS servers, etc- it' s to have
it assigned an email address. The device can serve as an SMTP server or a
POP3 client. It already has a static IP & a FQDN.

I was thinking, perhaps the "email address" is already the A host record as
added, panasonicuf9000. It uses the parent domain if not specified so that
becomes: panasonicuf9000@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx So I'd say that's
the email address of this device. not quite sure on this one.

Thanks again for any insights!

Angel
