I'm getting this same error (5 access denied) when trying to run the Active
Directory migration tool.
I built a Windows 2003 SBS Server and want to migrate over all of the
NT4.0/Exchange 5.0 user and mail stuff (without disturbing the production
network).
I established a trust relationship between the production PDC and my new
domain server that of course has a different domain name. When I did this,
the PDC said that it couldn't veruify that the trust relationship was
established and said to check on the Windows 2003 server to see if the
trusting relationship exists (I don't know how to do this).
I'm guessing it doesn't otherwise I wouldn't be getting this "access denied"
error message.
I am *NOT* a Microsoft expert.... any pointers on where I need to go from
here?
TIA!
