Rich, thanx for your answers,
Diagnostic Logging, MSExchangeTransport, Categorizer and SMTP protocol
logging levels are now set to maximum, all others from Transport service to
minimum.
There were two attempts to send this message, and communication beetwen
servers was established in both caseses.
We don't use any relay servers, this is one and only Exchange server behind
firewall box with SMTP traffic completly open. This firewall is not Pix. I
found KB article which explains similar behaviour if you are using Exchange
behind Pix.
I've double cheked our MX record with www.dnsreport.com and www.dnsstuff.com
and I couldn't find any problem. We were using ISP's mail server to serve as
backup, if our connection would drop. Second MX record was removed from DNS
on 1st of February, one day after log I've posted was made.
Now that I'm looking thoroughly at SMTP log, I see that with all refused
messages DATA part is missing, and all these messages were sent from abroad.
Is this communication problem?
TIA
T.
