Hello Alan:

Just a few things off the top of my head that I would check:

1) Make sure the WINS entry gets updated.
2) Make sure the DNS entry gets updated.
3) Make sure that any applications using the IP address to send SMTP mail
changes it to the new one.
4) Not sure how you have your inbound Internet e-mail configured, but if you
have some kind of SMTP appliance or firewall on the edge, make sure that you
change it to forward mail to the new IP address.
5) Any clients who would have problems probably just need a reboot to clear
out their name resolution caches.
