If the queue is in the "Retry" state, what's the reson it's in that

It says: The remote server did not respond to a connection attempt.

Yes you are right, but strange thing is that I already had the logging of
the SMTP protocol to Maximum but nohting is logged!! I have set the
Routing/Engine to a maximum and I do find event loggings. But for some reason
I do not see the SMTP logging in the Applications Log. Have any ideas?

Yep, you are ever so right. I do think it's more of a DNS-problem. However
how do I found out more or examine this? Do you have a pattern/procedure to
eveluate if I have got DNS problems.

Ok, I agree. Let's skip this option.
Leaves 2 things open. Why can't I see some detail SMTP logging. How do I
debug or termine DNS problems. For the DNS thing, should I reconsider to use
(maybe temporarily) a SMART-Host? If things works now, I can positively say
it's a DNS problem. Wright or am I missing something?
