Dear Customer,

Thank you for posting here. And thanks Martin and Lamar for sharing
experience.

Based on my knowledge, Exchange 5.5 is supported in a Windows Server 2003
environment. However, Exchange 5.5, including the OWA component, must be
installed and run either on a Windows 2000 Server-based computer or on a
Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 Server-based computer. Because Exchange 5.5 does
not use Active Directory, Exchange 5.5 does not benefit from the new Active
Directory features of Windows Server 2003 when Exchange 5.5 is run in a
Windows Server 2003 environment.

For more information, you can refer to the following article.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other concerns or
questions. Thanks and have a nice day!

Thanks & Regards,

Lee Li

| I'm planning to migrate a single NT 4.0 domain to Windows 2003 AD. I
| currently have a single Windows NT 4.0 member server running Exchange 5.5
| SP4. Are there considerations I need to make for Exchange 5.5 server to
| run in an AD environment? Are there any KB articles that cover this?
| thanks
