PS It seems like it's just the BADMAIL directory that actually has files in
it that keeps growing.

I look in the queue directory (d:\programfiles\exchsrvr\mailroot\vsi1\queue)
and it's empty.

where would these messages be coming from?

in other words, in exchange system manager, servers-->queues

there's now 200 destination queues with about 3000 messages in them. that's
just from today.
