While I'm familiar with workstation setups but I'm a total newbie w/servers.
Please be kind-
I'm trying to set up MS SBS Exchange 2k3 as a mail server accessible via the
internet. ISP connect via Verizon dsl thru Lynksys router. Unfortunately, I
keep getting the following 2 errors after trying to install the Outlook 2k3
setup component:
(1) During Setup, the IP address of 192.168.0.2 for the network adapter
used by Windows Small Business Server to access the local network was
provided by an existing DHCP server. Ensure that this IP address is excluded
from the DHCP scope. Additionally, you should configure your DHCP server
using the information provided in Appendix C of the Getting Started guide.
(2) An error occurred while installing Windows SharePoint Services and
creating your intranet site.
Can anyone help me resolve these issues?
