Do the drives first to capture the log files in a different file on a
different job in case you ever need to get the logs/

The bks file isn't the backup, it's the information file and should
never change.

Kill no services, you didn't do this in 5.5 (when I talked about drive
letter backups I would expect you to accept the obvious skipped files
in the exchsrvr tree)

No, it'll just skip the ones. You can do a couple and then see what
was skipped and then edit the job, but I can never be bothered and it
detracts from valuable drinking time.

When you create the job for the Exchange you just need to make sure
everything is ticked under the Exchange tree in ntbackup.
