Thanks, Mark. Yes, the tape drive should have the capacity.
A question on the timing you propose: shouldn't the stores go first since
the drive-letter (by this I think you mean backing up files off the
drives) backup is to tape (and would capture the bks file).
How would you handle subsequent backups of the Exchange.bks file? I
assume I need to do a full each day. Do you just script and schedule a
batch to delete the previous days .bks (or maybe let it sit a day)?
Also,
- do I need to kill services prior to backing up? (I know you used to
have to do this under 5.5)
- are there directories that I should exclude from the drive-letter
backup
- is backing up the info stores sufficient for the Exchange.bks backup
