new company, new domain. old dns was hosted by mydomains
or something like that - a company that the owners
registered the domain name with.

if it's not dns... what else could it be? i could not
find anything to "fix" in the smtp connector.

only errors in the event log to speak of are ldap binding
errors (i think relating to active directory) - would
this keep exchange from accessing the directory to find
the individual mailboxes and hence respond that it is an
invalid name?? unfortunately, i'm guessing.
