So he's got a system that isn't working properly and you want him to
turn on circular logging?
I know where the sentiment and logic is behind what you say but I
wouldn't suggest that CL is activated here.

At least if the logs are present, even if there are squillions of
them, the user stands a chance of recovery if it all goes awry. E2K3
plays the logs forwards much more efficiently than E2K so having many
more logs isn't the same problem that it would be in E2K.
It's still a problem, granted.
