I've turn the global catalogue option of the BDC on
(active directory sites and services) and turned on
Universal group caching
and most of the errors stop appearing, but every now and
then, active directory users and computers fails to work.

seems like there's something wrong with the ldap or ad
connection?

I did not configure a dns reverse lookup zone at all, is
it even needed?
