I am still having problems with users sending messages
over 2MB.
The Global Defaults in Exchange server are 10240KB and the
message limits in the SMTP Virtual Server are 4096KB
(although that limit is not even enabled).
Below is the NDR:
Your message did not reach some or all of the intended
recipients.
Subject: picture
Sent: 8/16/2004 2:35 PM
The following recipient(s) could not be reached:
ouratricle@yahoo.com on 8/16/2004 2:36 PM
This message is larger than the current system
limit or the recipient's mailbox is full. Create a
shorter message body or remove attachments and try sending
it again.
<scis_fs1.SCIS.LOCAL #5.2.3 smtp;450 5.2.3 Msg
Size greater than allowed by Remote Host>
I thought at first that this was caused by the system the
email was being sent to rejecting the message due to size
restraints, but I have sent the exact same file (3MB) from
an internal email address as well as one from the outside.
My internal email got the NDR and the email failed, my
outside email arrived. Thus, this is not a problem with
the outside host, but something dealing with my system.
There must be a setting I am overlooking that is limiting
my ability to send files over 2MB.
Any ideas on what this could be?
