I'm confuse as to the email size limits on the exchange server 5.5.
I've set the IMS email limits to "No Limits" and later to "25000k" for
test purposes.
I'm sending an email with a 13mb attachement .txt file to either
sympatico(2mb limits), hotmail (2mb limits), to Bell.ca (no limits)
Every time i sent the email with the above 13mb attachement i receive
the below notification and the data isn't going out the Internet. It
stays on my Exchange Server.
I made some supplemental tests and find out that if I was sending a
message with an attachement higher than 10mb the first problem still
appear and the email doesn't go out of the organization's Exchange
server 5.5
Here's the diagram. (I watch and scan every steps on the server)
Mail send (Outlook) --> MTA (Exchange) --> IMS Conversion queue -->
Notification Failure (usually this step should be the IMS Delivery
queue).
I do not see any Network card activity after the IMS Conversion queue
is done.
So my analysis is that something is wrong about the settings for
Exchange when it believes that the limit is supposed to be none but in
fact somewhere a setting is set to 10 mb. And the email never reach the
recipient's server over the Internet.
If I sent to a my local Organization Server recipient, the 13mb email
is received. This one isn't going outbound to the Internet.
What do you think ?
Cheers
IanM.
