but the "it'd" in the first quaote above _should_ have read "i'd" (no
't'). that might make more sense than what i actually typed.
the company i work for used to have a workforce of close to 30,000
before bankruptcy. the number of employees declined to about 5,000.
then, through accqusitions we grew to about 28,000. then divested,
shrinking to 18,000. then bought by another company, growing to
26,000. then consolidating to 21,000.
by rough calculations, i'd need 35,000 - 40,000 addresses in those
distribution lists. :)
those ex-employees are on quite a few mailing lists. fully 50% of the
2-millionm messages a week are addressed to non-existant addresses.
