Connecting ALL Data Points; Sequential Or Not ?

Hi,
New at this, so I apologize for dumb questions.
I have tried, very hard, to find out before asking. Honest.
I have plotted up some data that has dates on x axis, and numerical data values on Y axis.
The lines in the Scatter Graph between the data points only seem to connect data values for contiguous dates, and skips the others.
e.g., data points for June 1, June 2, and June 3 would be connected, but June 3 to June 15 would not be.
How can I have the graph put in lines between all the data points, sequential or not ?
