I'm so sad to hear this news. Sandy and I had some pleasant exchanges as our paths crossed on these newsgroups; I'd like to think he enjoyed them as much as I did. Thank you for letting this, his online "home away from home", know of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends.

We're very sorry to pass on the news that Sandy Mann passed away on Saturday morning.
Many thanks for all the messages of support that have been sent over the last month. We were able to take them into hospital and he always looked forward to reading them, though sorry he wasn't able to offer more help.
