Go into Windows Control Panel, Regional and Language Options, Customize,
Numbers and make sure the List Separator character is a comma.

| Hi,
|
| When I open a .csv file in excel, everything opens in one column. Of
| course I can use 'Data->Text to Columns' to put everything in seperate
| cells, but for my work I have to do this a million times and it is
| getting really annoying. Excel should be able to open .csv files and
| put everything automatically in the right cells instead of in one
| column.
|
| My collegaes do not have this problem, the same .csv files
| automatically open in the right way in excel on their computers.
| I tried a simple file, one that only contains:
| a,b,c,d
| and excel put this in one column! I really want to find out why excel
| does not do this putting in the cells automatically on my computer.
| I could not find the answer anywhere. Maybe someone can help me??
