Hi,
you could use a Data, Validation list. Include the heading a one item in
the list. Then when you only want to see the heading select it, otherwise
you will be able to see the rest of the list when you open the drop down.

Can I use the filter function in Excel 2007 to show headings and then when.
one of the headings is selected it expands the list and shows each item
associated with the heading? For example:
Vehicle List A (Heading)
Car
Truck
Bus
Vehicle List B (Heading)
Car
Truck
Train
Vehicle List C (Heading)
Car
Motorcycle
Train
I want the filter to only show the headings (Vehicle List A, Vehicle List B,
Vehicle List C). However, what I want it to do is expand the table when I
select one of the headings. (Show the items under each heading.)
If the filter function isn't the way to go, I'm open to suggestions. Thanks.
