To make the pivot chart independent of the source pivot table:
Right-click on the pivot chart, and click Copy
Open a new workbook
Right-click on a cell, and click Paste
In the new workbook, choose Edit>Links
Click on Break Link, then click Break Link to confirm.
The pivot chart in the new workbook is now based on set values, that you can see in the formula bar, when you click on a series.

Hi
Is there any way that you can you stop a pivot chart updating when the source data changes?
Thanks
