Hello David,
The condition is "Formula is
=AND((122*LEFT(G10,1)-CODE(RIGHT(G10,1)))>=23,(122*LEFT(G10,1)-CODE(RIGHT(G10,1)))<=267)
It takes the values of the cell, which could be 1a up to 5c ( I know they
look like cell addresses but that is what they wanted) in their case 1c is
greater than 1a and so on. (23 and 267 change so as to reflect a higher
condition band) eg 268 - 389 and 390-513
This has worked perfectly well for the past three years.

You may need to give us a clue by telling us what CF conditions you
specified, and what the contents of the cells in question are?
Are you using dates, and are the Windows regional settings different
between the two machines?

Can anyone give some pointers as to why a spread*** containing
conditional formatting displays as expected on my PC, yet when opened by
a colleague (several miles away) the cells are not filled with the
expected colour, though the values and CF is unchanged. Both PCs ar using
Excel 2003.
